UPCOMING YEALING SALES SET TO BE DYNAMIC
27/02/2008
Dynamic Syndications are keen for the Inglis Melbourne Yearling Sales to get underway on Sunday March 2, as we have already SOLD OUT of our 4 NZ Yearling Sale purchased on 28th - 29th January along with all 38 yearlings in 2007.
We have identified 64 yearlings on pedigree research from the 818 yearlings catalogued in the Melbourne sale that our information system concluded has the opportunity to become superior equine athletes.
Dean Watt and his specialist team have already begun inspecting these 64 yearlings to ensure only the very best conformed and athletic types on this list remain, whilst others that may have the pedigree but lack conformation are rejected.
With a final whittled down list, our contracted veterinarian Dr. Tim Roberts will then critique the final list and those that pass, will then have their X-Rays inspected. A final list will be established that can be confidently bid upon and Dean Watt as a Licenced Bloodstock Agent and Bloodstock Valuer will determine the pre-sale ceiling price for each available lot.
Simply, Dynamic Syndications will not chase any yearling. We set strict buying disciplines on Conformation, Athleticism, Soundness, X-Ray Inspection and Dollar Value. If all the ticks line up then we bid and buy or if not, we rule it out. There are about 20,000 yearlings per foal crop and we buy between 35-40 quality yearlings each year. We can afford to be choosy. We have the budgets to be competitive at the top end but we are always seeking value in the middle market.
It's this disciplined approach and intimate knowledge of pedigrees, conformation and values along with 26 years of experience in the thoroughbred industry that has resulted in Dean Watt building Dynamic Syndications outstanding success in recent years. No other individual or operator has Dynamic's Strike Rate of Success.
After Melbourne, the yearling Sale circuit progresses to Adelaide and then the big guns come out at the Magic Millions on the Gold Coast followed by Inglis in Sydney with their traditional Select Sale and Classic Sale being combined over a 6 day period.
We are keen to buy a variety of yearlings to appeal to the broadest range of investors possible. We will be buying yearlings for the following areas: 2yo sprinters, 3yo Classics, 4yo Stayers, both fillies with broodmare potential and colts with stallion potential. We will be looking for an even split between BOBS and VOBIS horses because we will be giving horses to our trainers in both Sydney and Melbourne including : John Hawkes, Peter Moody, David Hayes, Mick Price, Chris Waller, Gerald Ryan, Kevin Moses and this year we are including David Payne to our team.
