Dynamic Syndications Monthly Newsletter
Welcome to the Dynamic Syndications monthly newsletter. This is a nervous time for us as our unbeaten filly, Tenant's Tiara faces her acid test on Wednesday the 30th at Randwick. She is going to brain them, we hope.... Below is everything Dynamic including the recent sales success were Dynamic were so prominent at the Inglis Sydney Sale. Also in the shares on offer there is some exciting news about the Elvstroem x Pallid filly that we are currently syndicating to be trained out of the Flemington base of the Hawkes Family Racing Stables. Go Tenant's!!
Tenant's Tiara
The mighty filly stepped up into Listed open 3yo company in the Strada Stakes (previously Eskimo Prince) at Randwick over 1200m on March 29th. On a day dominated by the new superstar of the turf, Weekend Hussler, Tenant's Tiara created her own headlines with a dominate performance where she just did not look like being beaten. Her win made it three from as many career starts. Jumping away well, as usual, she took advantage of the slow speed and sat outside the leader. Jockey, Tim Clarke waited until he topped the famous Randwick rise before putting pressure on her. Once he did the race was over. The form behind her has stood up with second, Espurante, charging from the pack to win on Saturday and Murtajill, just being pipped by Serious Speed at Rosehill, two weeks ago. Today she steps up again in the Group 2, Sapphire Stakes. She has drawn well and is in well at the weights. Her owners from all over the country and overseas, or at least, Lord Howe Island, will be there to cheer her on. Watch out Randwick!!!
Priceless Lad
After winning at Canterbury, Priceless Lad lined up again on the Kensington track, to be ridden by Mitchell Beadman. He missed the start by a fraction, but he was surrounded by speed and found himself squeezed out the back. Mitchell had a quick decision to make and he elected to fall in behind and follow the pack towards the inside. Coming around the corner he snuck through and forged clear of the pack around him. Out near the outside fence a group of 3 horses had beaten off the pack and they were the first three across the line. Once again, a very honest effort and he is always something to have something on when he starts.
Twin Trist
A filly that has always impressed trainer Mick Price, she had had only the one start in the spring of 07, where she was a little shin sore. Going very well on the training track leading up to her resumption at Ballarat on Sunday April 20th, her track rider, Dale Smith was taking the ride. She jumped away with the field and had enough pace to take the front position. Going easily around the corner and into the long Ballarat straight, Dale Smith bided his time until the 200m mark when he let her down. The race was then all over and she went on to win by an easing 2 lengths. This weekend there is a class 1, also at Ballarat and she would have to be worth having a couple of bob on.
Honor in War
Is this horse the unluckiest in training? After being knocked down in the Chipping Norton Stakes when Darren Beadman had a lapful of horse, and just as Chris Waller reported him to be in the best condition that he had ever had him, Sydney is hit by the big wet and they are conditions that he absolutely detests. He doesn't go a yard in them. After 15 days of consecutive rain, we have been lucky enough to have sunny days with high wind so the track will be drying out. He has been nominated for the All - Aged Stakes and also the Queen Elizabeth on Sydney Cup day. Watch out for him and don't forget to put him into your multiples.
Eight Bees
After transferring to the stable of Barb Joseph at Canberra, Eight Bees had his first start, in a long time, in a 1400m maiden on the Thursday before the Albury Cup. Jumping well and taking a prominent position just behind the leader, Eight Bees travelled very well through the race. Straightening, his jockey, Peter Robl, found himself in a pocket that he just could not get out of until the last 30 metres. Just as he got out, the race was over, but he charged at the line and found himself in third position. A very promising resumption from a horse bred to get over 2000m and one that had not started for over a year. Put him into your black book.
Superior Instinct
After a short let up, Superior Instinct has been working well at the Randwick stables of Kevin Moses. With his best performance on a wet track (just beaten by the eventual spring Golden Rose favourite, El Cambio), we were looking forward to him resuming at Wyong on Anzac Day. The Sydney wet was just too much and the races have been called off. We know this boy has talent and with the softer tracks over winter, he is one to watch out for.
Regal Instinct
After promising so much at his second start from a spell with a really nice third at Kembla, we lined up again at Kembla Grange on April 12th, with our hopes deflated due to drawing the outside barrier. With instructions to let him flop out of the barrier and ride for luck from the back of the pack, he started too well and found himself stranded three wide, just off the lead. Jockey Shane Moses let him have a comfortable ride and at the top of the straight started to ride vigorously. Looking like he had the field covered a long way from the winning post, he extended to win by a length and a half in a very strong effort. Watch out for this boy, especially if there is a suitable 1900m mid week race at Canterbury.
Causeyacan
Resuming from over a year off, Causeyacan lined up for a 1300m maiden at Kembla Grange. The horse put the writing on the wall for future assignments with a determined 2nd, beaten only 1.3 lengths. Jockey, Shane Moses, found his way onto the fence after the jump. Whether or not he could have beaten the winner is debatable, but it took a while to get him out and running. Once he did, he extended well to the line and watch out for him in future assignments.
Pillar of Hercules
After his excellent first up run, we have now found out the reason why he did not perform to what we know he can, in the subsequent runs through his campaign. He is an imposing individual in the parade ring, and now that we can treat him, we are really looking forward to a spring campaign with the stallion.
Related Secrets
After impressing in her training and lead up trials, Related Secrets found herself at Goulburn to start her racing career. With jockey Shane Moses legged up, she started from the inside barrier and jumped away with the field. She showed her inexperience in the run by letting the front three get away from her, but in the straight she knuckled down to continue running to the line and make it into 3rd spot. With this education under her belt, we have a promising filly that looks like she will be ideally suited when she gets to 1400m.
Air Raid
After a brief let up, Air Raid is another that has been affected by the big Sydney wet and has had a race cancelled. He has come back to the stable in fantastic order and watch out for him to be ridden off the speed over 1200m, and then charge home, very soon.
Also, waiting in the wings, about to race, trialling, getting close to trialling or having a jump-out we have the following: Atomic Force, Jellylorum, Fully Focused, Confessional, Tomochichi, Danzaura, Noble Edict, Elusive Reserve, Sarkosy, Acclimitise and Lago Rhythm.
Sales Update
The Easter (yes I know that it wasn't at Easter this year) Inglis Select yearling sale has proven to be a very successful sale for Dynamic Syndications with the purchase of the Bakers Dozen. We have managed to successfully purchase 13 beautifully bred yearlings over a variety of budgets, all with sensational pedigrees.
The fillies that we have brought have some of the best pedigree ratings that we have seen at any sale, and we were able to secure them all at under the budget that we set ourselves. The colts that we have brought were not disgraced either in the ratings, with some of the nicest types with the pedigrees to match, now being part of the Dynamic family.
We have been able to purchase yearlings by Encosta de Lago, Redoute's Choice, Zabeel, Hussonet, Fastnet Rock, Rock of Gibraltar, Savabeel, Niello, Commands, Sharmadal and Not a Single Doubt. An amazing line up.
Below is a selection of photographs of our purchases.

Dynamic Trainers News
Congratulations go to Chris Waller for breaking his duck and taking his first ever Group 1 when Triple Honour cleared out from the pack and hung on desperately to win the time honoured Group 1 Doncaster Handicap. One of the guys I was at the races with called it home with 100m to go. Triple Honour must be a fantastic horse to be able to survive that.
Kevin Moses will have the favourite in the Sydney Cup with his consistent stayer, No Wine No Song, primed to win the 3200m event, a race which he ran third in last year after also winning the Chairman's Handicap on the weekend. He of course has Tenant's Tiara, the mighty Dynamic Syndications filly, in on Oaks day in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes.
Mick Price recently won the SA Oaks with Grand Journey and had Miss Maren pull out of the event as she wasn't quite ready. On the 30th of April he has the two horses lining up in the AJC Oaks, pitted against Zarita, Grand Journey and the NZ Oaks winner, Boundless.
Dynamic Breeding Package
We are getting closer to the excitement of seeing our babies go through the sale ring at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale which will see all of the lots go through the sales ring unreserved. Below are a couple of more photos of the future champs of the turf.

Dynamic Breeding News
Bryce Canyon
Bryce Canyon is the dam of our Al Maher colt that will be trained by Kevin Moses out of his Randwick yard. Bryce Canyon has just had a pedigree upgrade with her half brother by Thorn Park, Te Akau Coup, winning the Group 2 Matamata Breeders Stakes. Her son by Octagonal, Octagonal Canyon (original!!), is one of Hong Kong's most promising middle distance / staying types, being trained by John Size.
C'yaontheotherside
This mare first came to prominence as the dam of the listed winner, Chickens, which raced in the Harvey / Singleton colours. She is also the dam of our very promising, Causeyacan which will be back in the winner's circle very shortly if his recent efforts are anything to go by. Now we have been lucky enough to grab her latest son, the powerfully built son by Fastnet Rock.
Savannah Success
This mare needs little introduction. She won the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks and has earnt more fame as the dam of Cox Plate winner, Savabeel as well as being the dam of promising 3yo, Arlington, by Red Ransom. We have secured and sold her colt by Redoute's Choice.
Minus Zero
Minus Zero is the half sister to, Minnie Me, the dam of recent listed Gosford Guineas winner, Cent per Cent. Minus Zero is the dam of the Secret Savings colt that we are syndicating with Mick Price.
France Soir
This mare was a Group 1 winner over 1600m as a 3yo in Chile and is the half sister to a group 1 winning 3yo, Ghirlanda, which won over 2000m in Chile. We have France Soir's first foal, the filly by Dehere.
Dynamic Shares for Sale
We currently have only 30% left of the exceptionally well bred filly by Elvstroem from the Marauding mare, Pallid. The Danehill over Marauding mare cross has proven to be very successful. There has so far been 12 named foals of which, 10 have made the races. Of that 10, 9 have won races and amazingly, 6 have won stakes races including dual group 1 winning 2yo, Juanmo.
She is currently undertaking her education process and the educator, Stewart Bellingham has been very impressed with the progress that she has made since she has been with him. There is a report from Stewart lodged in the documents page of her web page.
She will be trained out of the Flemington stables of the Hawkes Family Stable as she was a joint selection of Dynamic Syndications and hall of fame trainer, John Hawkes.
As her dam, Pallid had 7 starts for 2 wins as a 2yo including a placing in the listed Keith Mackay Handicap, she will be given every opportunity to impress as a 2yo. Elvstroem of course won his only start as a 2yo.
At only $21,700 inc. GST for a 10% share, she will not last long. Here is a filly with a beautiful pedigree that is putting it all together as a race horse through education.
I can be contacted by either replying with your questions or letting me know when it is the best time to give you a call.
Monthly Quiz
Congratulations to last month's winner, Richard Rowe, who correctly answered that the winner of this year's Gosford Cup was Bundoran Breeze, trained of course by Kevin Moses. A Dynamic prize pack will be coming your way shortly.
To win the Dynamic prize pack this month, please reply back with the answer to the following question.
How many wins did the Pallid, the dam of our currently being syndicated Elvstroem filly, have as a 2yo?
