DYNAMIC PERFORMERS

Atomic Force

Barriers win races. Isn't it funny that all of those old sayings that you often tend to laugh at, all have elements of truth. Whilst honours go the winner of the San Domenico in Duporth, swap barriers with Atomic Force and things would have been interesting. Missing the kick ever so slightly, from the widest barrier, the pace was on from the start and jockey Tim Clark had no alternative but to allow the field to fire along while he tucked in behind them. He was shuffled back 9 lengths off the pace. At the turn as the field came back in his face, with a lap full of horse under him, Tim swung off the heels of the eventual winner to its outside but was locked into a tight pocket with nowhere to go. Tim attempted to gain a run on the outside that closed and had to switch sharply back to the inside to gain a passage. Just as he was balanced up and starting to sprint, the horse on his inside Anatomica ducked out and he had to be slightly checked. Balancing up again, he charged at the line to be 3rd, beaten only a length. It was cruel as Atomic Force ran the fastest 800m 600m. 400m sectionals and got beaten. Bring on the Up and Coming in a fortnight at Rosehill.

Intangible Asset

Lining up at Gosford for his first start, Intangible Asset, the older half brother to our Danzaura, allayed all of the fears of a nervous ownership to record a very soft win on debut. Turned out a treat by trainer, Gerald Ryan and ridden likewise by Tim Clark, Intangible Asset jumped well and sat outside the $1.80 hot pot. Nearing the turn, Tim had a lap full of horse underneath him while the favourite on his inside was struggling. Entering the straight, Intangible Asset coasted to the line to win unextended by 3.5 lengths. Oh, and it was in class record time. Next start, he was brought straight to town to try and make the most of his BOBS eligibility. While the plan did not work out, this is a horse which the owners are going to be having a lot of fun with in the ensuing seasons and is a definite for your black book.

Hoofnote: While we know all of our owners make special efforts to get to the races, an extra special mention must go to Ken and Sue Blain. They hopped on their motorbike and rode down from Cairns to be there for their boys first start. Superb !!

Handsome Stash

Here is a trivia question for you. Who won the last race of the racing season here in NSW? Handsome Stash, the big fella, not only won the last race, but crushed his rivals to win by a convincing 5 lengths. Racing at Hawkesbury and finally out to a suitable middle distance, Handsome Stash made it a one horse affair with him finding the front and then applying pressure from the 700m mark to have his rivals off the bit well before the turn. From there, it was just a case of how far. Like any win, it was very popular amongst the owners. There was one owner in particular that gave the tote operators a battering with a 50/1 shot helping his multiples. Handsome Stash went around at Canterbury over 1900m, up significantly in grade on Wednesday April 13th. In an ?interestingly' run race, Handsome Stash was attacked in the lead after getting away smartly and never had a moment's peace. The race was made for back markers and at the top of the straight, the runs came. The big fella fought to the line, beating home the hot pot, which had a much cushier run. Watch out for him, down in grade and allowed to bowl along in front.

Appleholic

After a long preparation last time in work, Appleholic has had a change of stable and is now being trained by Barb Joseph from Canberra. Resuming at Wagga over 1200m, a distance which would normally be short of her best, she jumped well and took a good position in the run. Turning for home she was right in the firing line, but a combination of her fitness and an inconsistent track, meant that while she fought to the line, she was not able to make up any ground. In saying that she was a head bob away from third, finishing in 4th position. Her next start she lined up again over 1200m at Kembla Grange and she put the writing on the wall with an excellent effort to charge through and grab third spot on the line. Settling midfield, in the straight, this big mare showed the dance moves of a ballerina to weave through and grab third. I doubt that she would have won with a clear passage, but what she has done has put the writing on the wall for future 1400m and 1600m assignments. Keep an eye out for her.

Plan of Attack

Three runs this preparation, 3 seconds. She is consistent, she is gallant and she has ability. Now we just need to see her in the winner's circle. Missing the kick slightly put paid to the plans to lead and Plan of Attack found herself sitting in the box seat. She is a free flowing mare and holding her up, she just over raced which when it came to the final 100m, the weight advantage of the eventual winner, told. She fought on doggedly to land another 2nd prize cheque. Her hoof is right on the till and she is one to follow in the coming weeks.

Air Raid

After a change of stable to the camp of Paul Murray, Air Raid has produced two performances which should see him finishing in the money again. Resuming at Wagga Wagga he fought on doggedly down the straight to finish in fourth position. Next start at Kembla Grange he once again fought doggedly and while this time he finished 5th, he is not far away from producing a run that will earn a nice cheque for his owners. Keep a look out.

Cat Burglar

After a very encouraging run first up in Saturday class, Cat Burglar just found herself a few lengths off the pace in her subsequent wet race track appearances. She has a lot of talent but has a dislike for rain affected shifting track surfaces. After a thorough examination, it was decided to let her have a short break before bringing her back when the tracks are firmer in the summer months. This is a mare with excellent ability so keep her in your black book and she is sure to return to the winners list over the summer months.

Vigneron

Returning from a longish lay off after knee surgery, Vigneron ran in an unsuitable event on the Thorough Track at Geelong. After that it was off to Echuca where he was able to settle just off the pace. Rounding the turn, he put himself right in the picture before again fitness just told and he finished in 5th spot. Making a decision to help him along, he has been transferred to the country stables of Barb Joseph and he is coming along nicely in his new environment. Black book him for races in the near future.

Regal Instinct

Regal Instinct is jumping out of his skin in the rural environment of the latest training team to join the Dynamic stable, in Corstens Racing. He got a start in a 1300m event at Sandown on a bog track. Jumping away nicely, he settled at the rear of the field. Approaching the turn, he was stoked up by the rider, Dean Yendall. The leaders had too much of a break on him, but the naked eye, and subsequent jockey's report, indicated that his last 100m was very strong. This backs up the idea that the horse will be best around 2000m. Keep following him.

This filly has broken in super and has been through the pre-training system and now has been returned to the paddock for a well deserved let-up. She is another of the Al Maher breed that shows a lot of promise.

DYNAMIC TRAINERS NEWS

Everyone is gearing up for the Spring and all of our trainers have a sparkle in their eye. Kevin Moses had his Gosford Cup winner, Bundoran Breeze be the unlucky runner behind the John Hawkes trained Royal Espirit in the last race at Rosehill on the weekend. That was Royal Espirit's fourth win in a row. Kevin and Jenny Moses will be able to move back to their much loved Randwick base in the next two weeks after the August 23rd Warwick Farm meeting. David Payne has had his stable stars hit the trial track with horses such as Stripper, Soho Secret and Gallant Tess all going around.  Mick Price is about to unleash his stable headline acts, led of course by the Group 1 Australian Guineas winner, Light Fantastic. Peter Moody, after a successful raid at the Brisbane Winter Carnival, has our Pillar of Hercules ticking along quite nicely getting ready for his Spring resumption in the next few weeks.

The newest trainer to join the Dynamic stable is the team at Corstens Racing. Situated at their purpose built property, ?Kerrygail' at Romsey, 20km's north east of the Melbuorne airport, the Corstens team consists of Dad, Leon, and sons, Kevin and Troy and their excellent staff. At the property is a 16m wide, 1800m grass track, an inner sand track, 8 horse water walker and 8 horse dry walker, 65m pool facility and stabling for 60 horses. Also on the property are spelling and day yard facilities. Everything a horse could want. Their stable stars at the minute are the excellent sprinter and Valley specialist, Kaphero, Blue Diamond Preview winner, Sienna's Fury and flag ship of the stable, Monet's Rules. Princess Coup stabled at Kerrygail through her very successful Melbourne Autumn campaign. Corstens Racing currently have take care of our Regal Instinct and he is thriving under their watchful eye. Be on the look out for him once he gets to 1600m+.

DYNAMIC BREEDING NEWS

Kalanasi

Click the picture of Kalanisi to be taken to his Wikipedia entry

What a year Kalanisi had in 2000. Bred and raced by H.H. Aga Kahn IV and trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Kalanisi was unbeaten as a 3yo before having a stellar 4yo season. In that year in Europe he won the Group 1 Champion Stakes and the Group 2 Queen Anne Stakes. As his final run of the season, he was shipped to the USA for the classic, Group 1 Breeder's Cup Turf. He duly saluted under the riding of Johnny Murtagh, beating home the likes of Montjeu and Fantastic Light. These performances saw him named the Eclipse, US Champion Turf Male horse and named as the Cartier Racing Award European Champion Older Horse. What does this have to do with Dynamic Syndications? Dynamic trainer, Gerald Ryan, recently had a very exciting winner by Kalanisi, Grager, at a recent Kembla Grange meeting. More importantly for Dynamic Syndications, the great granddam of our Zabeel x Dane Shakira colt that we are currently syndicating, Kareena, is also the granddam of Kalanisi.

Dynamic Shares for sale

With only 30% left before being sold, Dynamic Syndications are pleased to be able to give a progress report on our Rock of Gibraltar x Best Effort colt.

After consultation between the colt's trainer, John Hawkes, and Dean Watt, it was decided to place the colt on a time line to give him the best chance to race in the Magic Millions 2yo race, this year worth $2 Million. The colt is currently in paddock having been returned after completing another 3 week pre-training session. He will spell for 21 days and then come back into training on 1 September. This time line enables him to be ready for racing from the second week of November. Racing around this time will allow us to obtain the very important prize money and have us near the top of the order of entry. Then, if we have prize money in the bank, we can let him have a short break and have him primed and ready for his crack at the big money that is next year's 2yo Magic Millions race.

This colt is bred on the Danehill over Luskin Star cross which has produced Golden Slipper winners, Merlene and Stratum as well as second place getter, Shovhog. In his pedigree he boasts the greats of the Australian turf in Burst and Victory Prince as well as Bush Padre, Artist Man and Worth, to name a few.

He is the ? brother to Stakes Winner, Superfly and half brother to Stakes Winner, Allez France

Photo taken on July 21st. Click on the photo to be taken to his web page

Not only does he have pedigree, but as you can see from the above picture, he has excellent conformation. He looks as good as he is bred - he's built to run.

Everyone who has handled this colt has come away impressed with the ability and temperament that he has shown. He has the pedigree to run quickly as a 2yo and develop into a sprinter / miler as a 3yo. The ideal colt for Australian conditions.

There are shares available in him from $5,987.50 inc. GST.
