DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS DECEMBER 08 NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the bumper Xmas edition of the Dynamic Syndications Newsletter. A merry Xmas and a happy new year to one and all.
What an exciting time with so many of our horses in training, aimed at the Magic Millions or the lovely races that will be available over the Autumn carnivals. We have so many horses in work at the minute that this edition will be mainly dedicated to them. There is plenty for your black book, so watch out for the Dynamic colours over the next couple of months as you are sure to find them in the winner's circle.
Over the Xmas interval, please be safe on the roads and most of all, have a fantastic and enjoyable time with your families.
Vale, Val Price
Val - centre, dressed in the leopard skin top, enjoying the spoils of Alotta Lute's victory at Randwick 1/1/08
The sudden departure of one of our great friends, Val Price, came as a shock to everyone. Here at Dynamic, as soon as we placed a horse up for syndication with Gerald Ryan, there would be a phone call from either Val, or her sister Helen, to snap up a share straight away. When the acceptances came out at 10am for one of their horses at the races, you could count on a phone call or email at 10:10am asking for two tickets into the enclosure, Helen and Val were inseparable.
She will be missed and our thoughts are especially with her sister Helen.
DYNAMIC COOLMORE TOUR
Australia's leading thoroughbred stud farm, COOLMORE STUD, played host to 120 Dynamic Syndications owners and friends on Sunday November 30th. Two luxury coaches departed from Wynyard in the Sydney CBD at 8:15 am with a stop along the way at the Thornleigh McDonalds to pick up additional owners before we were whisked up the freeway to Coolmore Stud.
Arriving at 11:45 am we met with other Dynamic owners who had elected to take the drive up to the stud themselves. We were greeted by Coolmore Stud staff members Henry Field and Sebastian Hutch (Seb found himself the much admired centre of attention for one of our owners in particular. Who, well she likes a Cause...) who, courtesy of Coolmore Stud, kindly supplied each of our owners on our touring party with a showbag. The showbag contained a magnificent magazine about the stallions and the property, along with a DVD of the stallions and a Coolmore cap. The cap emblazoned with Encosta De Lago was the most prized item although your correspondent was quite happy with the Aussie Rules named cap, considering the Coolmore colours are quite similar to the mighty Carlton Blues colours. Bryce Gibbs will win a Brownlow and Carlton will win a flag within 3 years... Dynamic added in a Dynamic T-shirt and coffee mug.
After a quick pit-stop, it was back on the buses where Henry and Sebastian took a bus each on a 25 minute guided tour of Coolmore's vast property.
We were shown the huge post and railed paddocks full of magnificent mares with foals at foot. In one paddock we were able to stop and marvel at the $5 Million mare, Milanova, full sister to resident sire, Holy Roman Emperor, with her filly foal by Encosta De Lago, at foot. We were then driven to the foaling unit where we saw a mare and her foal that had been born overnight. We moved onto the yearling barns where the valuable yearlings are prepared for sale. Next it was onto the Staff Village which is home for many of the 160 staff during the season. One of the cottages containing 4 Aussies that transfer across the globe for each breeding season was conveniently nicknamed the ?Covering Shed". We then continued on past the lagoon to the stallion barn and runs, before a final stop beside the statue of Danehill who greets everyone at the gates.
Five hundred metres up the road and perched on the side of the hill looking back over the stud was the Arrowfield Winery where a BBQ lunch and an Open Bar awaited our clients. After an informal hour of mix and mingle for clients, it was time for desert. This was special as we had a Birthday cake presented for our friend and good owner John Geikie who turned 65 on the day and for Mary Williams whose birthday fell on the following Wednesday. Mary turned 21 again....
Tale of the cat being paraded at Coolmore
Once we had finished with lunch, we moved onto the highlight of the day, which was the full stallion parade. The biggest ohh's and ahh's were kept for Encosta De Lago and Fastnet Rock, but to then see the might of Rock of Gibraltar, the presence of Dylan Thomas, the muscles upon muscles of a sprightly looking 15yo Tale of the Cat and the perfect symmetry of Dehere, was a special treat that all that were present will never forget. Interesting to note the little tale that we were told about the head trainer for Coolmore, Aidan O'Brien. He has a broodmare band of about 18 and he sent over half of them to Oratorio during the last northern hemisphere breeding season, he had that high an opinion of him when training the horse.
Team Dynamic at Coolmore Stud, next door to the stallion barn.
After the parade and a quick group photo it was onto the buses for a visit to the yearling barn where the Coolmore staff presented some magnificent yearlings currently being prepared for the upcoming Magic Millions sales in January. A Dehere filly especially, caught the eye of a lot of people, and some sneaky pre sale orders were placed.
We arrived back into Sydney at around 7:15pm and all round, it was a day that will never be forgotten by all that were lucky enough to be on the trip.

DYNAMIC PERFORMERS
Grand Cause
In a deliberate slow build up after an injury interrupted last prep, Grand Cause has one foot in the winner's circle after two recent fourths in town. On Saturday December 14th, the rain affected ground just blunted his final sprint after a cracking, closing fourth 4 weeks earlier. He is right on track for his next assignment on December 27th with his grand final, the $500k 1400m Cup on Magic Millions day.
Owners: Greg Brown, Bullseye Syndicate, Causycan Syndicate, Phil Dugan, Neil Gibbons, Mick Malone, Matt McWhinny, H&W Holzenbach, Fabian Welk and Dynamic 1 Racing Syndicate.
Causeyacan
Knowing the talent that this son of Giant's Causeway has, but also knowing that there was a long way to go to achieve what we wanted to with him this preparation, it was with great trepidation that we awaited his resumption at Randwick on November 8th. Jamie Quinell was engaged and the horse, with a belly as big as a couple of staff here in the Dynamic office, jumped and found himself towards the rear of the field. Coming along the side straight at Randwick, Causeyacan pulled himself around the field to hit the lead on top of the rise under no duress. Jamie then went for the horse and it resulted in a comprehensive victory. Two weeks later at Randwick again, he had a rib showing this time and with Jamie on board again, jumped well and was parked just behind the pace. The leading 3 horses went for home early and Jamie bided his time and waited for the top of the rise before he pushed the go button again and that was the end of the story. Result, another rushing, comprehensive victory. Eagerly awaiting his next target, Causeyacan lined up in the Listed Festival Stakes and let's just say, best forgotten. Squeezed at the start, down on his haunches and then smashed into the fence. The rider that caused the interference was suspended. Somehow, he still managed to pass 7 horses in the straight and finish only 2.5 lengths from the winner. Overcoming injury, we lined up in his target this preparation, the Group 2 Villiers Stakes. Wanting to make it 2 in a row for Dynamic, what a tale of woe this race turned out to be. Congratulations to the connections of the winner, Something Anything, but this really was the case of the one that got away. Click the below link and be taken to the stewards report just to see how unlucky the son of Giant's Causeway was.
With the winner getting an automatic ticket into the Doncaster, connections are deciding whether to put him away and have a crack at the Doncaster anyway, or take him to the 1800m Stayers cup at the Magic Millions and then perhaps spell and have a crack at a race like the Stradbroke. All lovely plans, ahh, but what could have been.
Owners: John Allen, Ernest Berghella, Julianne Earngey, Anne Edwards, Gary Low, Andrew Roebuck, Peter Roebuck, Fabian Welk, Michael Damaschino, Leo Tenace and Whitby Bloodstock P/L.
Tenant's Tiara
She only knows how to fight in her races, and off the track also by the sound of it. A recent interview on Racenet TV had her trainer Kevin Moses ducking for cover when she tried to take a bite out of him.
Saturday in the listed Razor Sharp, lets just say best forgotten. She never at one stage got a crack at them. Sitting perfectly, or at least seemingly so, on the fence in 5th position, the mare just did not get out at any stage. Jockey Rod Quinn never got the chance to put a smack on her behind or even push her out. Two options going forward, the 1100m Carrington Stakes on New Years Day or the 1300m fillies and mares Paspalley Pearl at the Magic Millions. Do not drop off her.
Owners: Mitchell Gibson, David Gremmo, William Hunter, Cheryl Leach, David Martyn, Stewart Philpott, Dene Sykes, Jigsaw no. 2 Syndicate, Lord Howe Island Syndicate and Tifineo Syndicate.
Royal Singer
Since entering the care of Canberra conditioner, Barb Joseph, this mare has flourished, with a second at Randwick now on her pedigree page. Having previously shown a dislike for wet tracks, Barb has the mare so happy within herself that every time that she goes to the races, we know we are going to get a genuine solid effort. At the Sunset Sessions meeting at Randwick, the mare was caught 3 wide early and had to use up some petrol to race up near the pace. Turning for home she always had the horse on her inside covered but Hexameter just ranged up on the outside to nab her on the line and win by the barest of margins. The next morning she ate everything up and is still entered for the $250k 1800m Stayers Cup at the Magic Millions. Keep track of her progress.
Owners: Ray Edwards, John Edwards, Gary Farley, Jenny Hayes, Peter Moxham, John Paloscia, Ryan Severn, Ron Sullivan, Brian Taylor and Murray River Syndicate.
Tiger Prawn
Another horse that is appreciating the care and attention of Barbara Joseph, Tiger Prawn has put in two quality efforts that have us looking at the $100k, 1400m Country Cup on Magic Millions day. Open to horses that have had 6 starts in the country over the last 12 months, Tiger Prawn is well on target. On the mud the day that the Nowra races were cancelled because of the heavy rain, Tiger Prawn lumped 60 kilo's and was charging home at the end. Watch out for him at Goulburn on Tuesday and then perhaps up on the coast.
Owners: E=MC2 Syndicate, John Celentane, Peter McGuire, Barry Innes, Ross Walker, Steve Nadja and Bill Vlahos.
Related Secrets
After winning at Rosehill over 1100m on Melbourne Cup Day, Related Secrets was tried over a fraction more ground before she was brought back in distance to a 900m race at Queanbeyan, wearing the blinkers for the first time. Jumping well, she was ridden to share the lead and possie up 3 wide with the short run to the home turn. At the top of the straight she fought on really well to look the winner with 100m to go before an opponent got a late split and got through to just beat her on the line. A fantastic effort and the shorter distances seem to be the key to his filly.
Owners: Tony Rivans, Ross Lawson, Peter Laws, Chris Ilias, Swingras Mooconjo Syndicate, Eva Miller, Aaron Morris, John Celentane and CGM Syndicate.
Noble Edict
This super genuine member of the Moses stable impressed first up where fitness just told and he was nosed out of third place at Warwick Farm. Second up, Noble Edict raced in a very uncharacteristic manner, the solution to which was found on the Monday after his race. He will be back in work in 4 weeks time with races at the back end of the Sydney carnival and then the Brisbane carnival, very much in the picture.
Owners: Bill Vlahos, Bryan Tolra, Ken Tame, Glenn Quigley, Adam Kustron, Don Jones, Dr. Meg Collins, Peter Blake, Quintao Corbett Johnstone Syndicate, Baldy O'Brien Syndicate.
Plan of Attack
Run off her feet on her resumption at Canterbury Park, Plan of Attack hit the line hard. It was the run of a horse that said, back me next time. Next time has come a little later than anticipated, as during the race at Canterbury Park, she threw a shoe and a nail pricked her hoof wall. All well, she lined up at the Kembla Grange circuit and once again put in her customary gutsy effort. Just the break between runs told on her in the end. She travelled in fourth spot all of the way and finished fourth, but was closest on the line and the effort had back me next time written all over it.
Owners: Stephen McRea, Bish Racing Syndicate, John Campbell, Matthew Davidson, Steven Frare, Don Jones, Peter Lakeman, John Vella and Bill Vlahos.
Superior Instinct
An honest horse that gives his best every time, the wet sloppy Kensington track proved to be his undoing when resuming in the last race of the AJC Sunset Sessions. Coming off a super trial win, there was some confidence oozing from the connections. That is, before the heavens opened. While he goes in the wet, first up on a bog track is never the ideal situation. Effective on all sorts of ground, this horse is entered for the 1400m cup at MM and is one to watch for at his upcoming assignments.
Owners: Ron Krog, Grant Cadger, Gill Carroll, Michael Choueifate, Chris Ilias, Michael Panto, Tony Panto, Laraine Stockman and Craig Wann.
Sarkosy
What a cracking win first up at Kembla Grange. Wide and at the back of the field, over the last 300m and especially the last 75m, Sarkosy had rockets placed up his you know what, as he charged at the line and won by half a length in lightning time. Next we went to Canterbury for an event over 1250m. At the barrier two horses that would have provided excellent speed and cover for Sarkosy were late scratchings. Jumping well from the barriers, Sarkosy found himself outside the leader. He was a sitting shot for the horses behind him and he battled well to the line for a nice fourth. The horse that shared the pace with him finished 6 lengths behind. This was only his fourth start and we are still learning about the horse. His next start was again under the lights of Canterbury Park over what may seem to be the more suitable 1100m. Ridden quietly, the pace at the front was not as hot as expected over 1100m making it hard for him to make up the required ground. He did not shirk the task and made up many lengths to finish midfield. There is another win in store for him so keep an eye out.
Owners: Gerard Coutts, Wayne Dewberry, Stephen Duggan, Kerry Hiley, Peter Nash, Lawrence Nixon, SAJLIP Syndicate, Second Up Racing Syndicate and Dynamic 3 Racing Syndicate.
Pillar of Hercules
Trained for the first time in his career as a sprinter / miler, Pillar enhanced his pedigree and stallion potential with some resounding efforts in the best group 1 company of the spring. His best performance was his 3rd in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap where he had the temerity to box on and fight off most of the field despite a wide run in transit. In fact, he never had a cushy run all Spring. His campaign finished in the Group 1 Railway Stakes in WA and he is now in the spelling paddock having a well earned rest. Watch out for him next campaign, he will only be improved on what you have seen.
Owners: Bill Vlahos, John Allen, Stephen McRea, Joy Jenkins, Sarah Moody, Monte Hacho Syndicate and Secret Hills Thoroughbreds Syndicate.
Jellylorum
What a tough debut effort at Canterbury in early December. Drawn in barrier 8 of a field of 10, she jumped well, and this was her downfall. Jumping so well, she was 4 and 5 wide most of the journey. The closest that she got to the fence was 3 wide at the start of the home turn. Jockey, Jamie Quinell, slid her up on the outside, and at the point of the turn she was third. The winner, the very smart Serenissima, drew the fence and did not leave it or go around a horse. The second horse, and subsequent winner, Villa Moura, just got Jellylorum on the line, leaving us in 3rd spot after we were second for most of the home straight. It was the run of a horse that has plenty of wins in her. Her second start was again under lights at Canterbury over 1250m, from barrier 8, AGAIN, with Jamie Quinnell claiming his 3 kilos. Jumping very well, she was once again in a spot of bother as she was caught wide. Jamie elected to kick her up and sit outside the leader. Having done plenty of work in the run, she could have been excused for dropping out, but not this filly. Fighting to the line she disposed of the challenge on her inside and held off the challenge of Libertarian to record her first victory. A very happy bunch of owners, even a smiling Myles Henke, greeted her back in the winner's enclosure. The time recorded was only 1.5 lengths outside the class record. An excellent effort for a filly bred to run 2000m. Not only more distance, but a good barrier with a comfortable run in transit and this filly will make her way through the grades.
Owners: Dean Shannon, Charlie Deeb, Geroge Rassos, Bill Vlahos, Myles Henke, Frank Kazzi and Gary Hodsdon.
Fashion Statement
Fashion Statement, or Hoover, as she is called around the stables, had her first start in an unsuitable 1000m maiden at Wyong. It was a good steady effort that had us very expectant about the rest of her prep. Her 2nd start she lined up at Kembla Grange and in an excellent effort she raced into second spot, 2 lengths from the winner with a further 2 and a half back to the chasing pack. Bred to be a nice miler, this was the excellent effort of a horse that is on the up. Oh, and why Hoover? Anything that resembles food, even the worst looking morsels from the stable floor, she just can not go past them. The girl has got an appetite. She is nominated for the 1400m 3yo trophy and the 1200m maiden plate at the Magic Millions.
Owners: Stephen McRea, Bill Vlahos, Dean Shannon, Peter Blake, John and Mary Syndicate, Petar Jokich, Adam Kustron, Lindesay Allen and Bish Racing Syndicate.
We're Lucky
From the first crop of the Hong Kong champ, Lucky Owners, We're Lucky is providing an excellent ride for her loyal band of owners. First up at Canterbury Park, she was as green as grass, and just when you thought that she was about to drop out, the penny dropped and she charged to the line to finish fourth. Her second start she lined up at Gosford with Hugh Bowman on board. Anyone that has seen that race knows that she could have won if it wasn't for a tiring runner coming back into her lap just as she was making her run. She finished second, full of running. With the extension of nominations for the $100K 3yo Millions race at Wyong, we threw the dice and put in a nom. A huge storm, 2 races before, that caused the track to be downgraded from a good 3 to a slow 6, had us unsure of exactly how she would perform. With Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle, our hopes looked forlorn as she seemed to be struggling in the ground. Her competitors fanned approaching the turn and this seemed to switch her on as she got right into the bit and started to circle the field. Still green, Kerrin had to wait to balance her up in the straight. Once he did and he was able to give her a back hander, she responded and flew down the outside to grab 2nd and win $20K for her owners. She is still green, but she is talented and with a bigger, roomier track and a nice 1400m, the winners circle beckons. We're Lucky is nommed for the 1400m 3yo trophy and the 1200m maiden at the Magic Millions.
Owners: David Hornhadt, Graham King, Graeme Rommell, Toni Berkin, Team Fui Mui Syndicate, Quntao Corbett Johnstone Syndicate, Steve Edwards, Tim Waters, Dynamic Fab 4 Syndicate, Dynamic Fabe 4 Me Too Syndicate and Dynamic Fab 4 Ringo Syndicate.
Dictatorship
Dictatorship lined up for his debut run at Canterbury Park. Suffering interference and then winning a protest, he was promoted to 3rd thanks to the efforts of Dean Watt QC. Trainer Gerald Ryan had reported the son of Commands to be working the house down in preparation for his next start, the Wyong Magic Millions 3yo race over 1200mworth $100k. With the stable and connections confident, the worst thing that could happen, did. A monstrous storm engulfed the course, causing the fashions on the field to be finished early and your correspondent worried if his car had hail damage. At one stage you could not see the outside rail from the grand stand, the rain was that thick. Gerald Ryan reported that the half sister that he used to train, did not go a yard in the wet, and unfortunately that was the case for Dictatorship. On Saturday at Kembla Grange, he found the top of the ground, but he also found trouble. Jumping well and leading, he handed up the lead to two horses that rushed around him. As soon as they got to the lead, they pulled on the breaks. Stuck on the fence, the son of Commands did not get out until the final 150m and flashed home to finish 2nd by a neck. On top of the ground, this boy is a winning chance in the coming weeks.
Owners: John Allen, Barry Bennet, John Falconer, Borghman Syndicate, Len Sheridan, Lance Snedden, Frank Murphy, Jason Rea, Helen Price, Chris Peacock, Paul Maher, Wayne Gage and Stephen Fitzpatrick.
Tomochichi
He had 2 of his owners crying when he won his first trial, and on his debut at Wyong in a maiden over 1100m, they were hoping that tears of joy were to flow again. It was not to be the case, but the writing is on the wall, get on me next start. Tomo lined up in the middle of the big field and jumped away well. Quickly gathering speed he worked his way to sit up with the leader. Two horses, including the eventual winner went around him so he has sitting in the perfect spot. Approaching the turn, the flashy son of Danzero, looked to be making ground, but the two leaders had a kick and the first five around the corner were the first five across the line. His debut fourth was a more than encouraging effort and Tomochichi should be in BOLD letters in your black book after today's effort. And he will be an even better horse in 6 months time.....
Owners: Dino Brescacin, John and Mary Syndicate, Brett Dale, Cameron Dunn, Bruce McKendry, George Moore, Alan Yau, Ray Robinson, Darren O'Connell, Myles Henke.
Joe Almighty
After a nice effort in his trial, Joe Almighty lined up for his debut run at Kembla Grange with ?Robbo' on board. Racing in the blinkers, the son of Johannesburg jumped beautifully and shared the lead. While wanting to take a sit, the horse was racing greenly at his first start and the jockey left him in front. Due to this greenness, Robbo was not able to fully test Joe and so the effort for him to still be in the lead with 150m to go was excellent. With this experience behind him and more to come, he is a definite for your black book.
Owners: Dean Shannon, Wayne Wilson, Bill Vlahos, Allan Philip, Shane Joyce, John and Mary Syndicate, Holzovich Syndicate, CGM Syndicate, Helen Price and Aliecia Freedman
Steamy
After 2 sensational trials, Hugh Bowman agreed to sweat for a Thursday provincial meeting and rode Steamy at her first start. Going into the race very confidently, our confidence was dented in a huge way with the filly pulled up after 50m. All tests since then have proven to be very positive and we will be right to go back into work around January 5th. Don't forget about her.
Owners: Sharon and Steve McRea, Bill Vlahos, Alan Bradley, Ray Edwards, Peter Hardwicke, Anthony Taliana, Myles Henke, Kathleen McGuire and Mollywood Syndicate.
Confessional
Bred to be a top miler, Confessional has shown promise at the unsuitable journeys of 1200m and 1100m. First up was a promising 3rd to the spruik horse, Swift Alliance over 1200m at Canterbury Park. With nothing else suitable on the calendar, we had to race him over 1100m back at Canterbury again. In another promising performance, he showed courage and ticker to the line to place second behind Mine in Time in a slick overall time. He will be back from a spell shortly and is a definite for your black book.
Owners: Dean Shannon, Myles Henke, Cheryl Henke, Fabian Welk, Trevor Hollis, Mario Ljubicic, Bob Kendray, Bruce McKendry, Don Jones and Rein Geraghty.
Fully Focused
Starting her career at Goulburn and ridden by Mitch Beadman, the filly cost herself a win first up by shying from the whip to finish in third position, beaten only a half head from the winner. This was despite her racing 4 and 5 wide all of the trip. A lovely big horse, the filly still has some maturing to do to grow into her BIG frame and once she does, we will have a lot of fun with the filly as she has always showed ability on the track.
Owners: Michael Ball, Wayne Buckley, Nick Clarry, Roy Cunnington, Paul Ingerman, Kevin Larsen, Ken Warren, Myles Henke, Dynamic Fab 4 Syndicate, Dynamic Fabe 4 Me Too Syndicate and Dynamic Fab 4 Ringo Syndicate.
Danzaura
Having always showed ability on the training track, Danzaura made it to the races three times in his first campaign. His second start he was only 2.5 lengths off them and in the final start of his campaign, he never got a crack at them and went to the line under a hold. He is in the middle of a spell and we are looking forward to having him back at the races next prep where the experience that he has gained from this prep will prove to be invaluable.
Owners: Dean Shannon, Roland Berka, Robert Brown, Michael Docker, Rein Geraghty, Robert Hodge, Ashleigh Teagle, Stuart Warden, Leo Chan, Ying Lee, Philip Yau and William Ye.
Triumphant Choice
The headline colt. Bred to win a Derby, being by Redoute's Choice out of Savannah Success, making him a half brother to Savabeel, the colt has always showed ability to trainer John Hawkes. After two excellent trials where he finished second in both, race day was upon us. It was anticipated that being a 2yo 1000m scamper, the leaders would go like scalded cats, allowing us to work to the line from the back of the pack. That was not to be the case. The order in which the field settled, was the order in which the field finished due to the slow early pace. The colt was the pick of the yard, a magnificent specimen, and did not shirk the issue in the run. He is just not a 1000m horse. Watch for him in the Autumn being aimed at the Group 1 1600m Champagne Stakes.
Owners: Gerry Harvey, Secret Hill Thoroughbreds Syndicate, Bill Vlahos, Bill Benson, Clairden Racing, Karl Arnold, Michael St. Angelo, Gurmet Singh, Tony Mitevski and Michael Wilson.
Handsome Stash
This guy is ultra consistent. Bred to love a mile to 2000m, each preparation he has given his owners a great run for their money with each start. First up this campaign at Kembla Grange, he once again showed the fight that he has within to just go down by a length into third position behind the latest provincial spruik horse, Luigi the Brave. The race was won in an excellent sub 1:10 over the 1200m. The writing is on the wall for this campaign and watch out for him as he gets to his pet 1600m - 2000m journeys.
Owners: Dave Armit, Bruce McKendry, Ben Callen, Chris Clark, Olive Oyston, George Rassos, Dennis Walker and Two Mates Hoping Syndicate.

DYNAMIC TRAINERS NEWS
Kevin Moses
Have you been following the Moses stable of late? Haven't they been running well? As a horse lover, you can see their horses turned out in fantastic condition and running well, and as a punter, you are getting a run for your money every time.
Gary Nickson
Our pretrainer, Gary Nickson keeps his eye in with the odd horse in full work, here and there. What a job he is doing with Theophorous!! Theophorous has a fantastic record and his third in the recent Listed Festival Stakes, despite racing wide, was testimony to Gary's skills as a horseman.
John, Michael and Wayne Hawkes.
You can just sense the tide is about to turn for the family team. Runners to watch out for include, Rainbow Styling, Solid Effort, Real Saga, Triumphant Choice, Tomochichi, Savvy Choice, Advantage Receiver, Ibethecan, Atomic Force, No Comment and of course Mentality.
Bede and Paul Murray
Trainer of our Sarkosy and Air Raid, the team down at Kembla have been having a fantastic run of late. Phenomenal Lass just keeps on impressing as an early 2yo runner and the team have Predatory Pricer, Takeover Target's half brother, back in work and getting ready for his stated aim of the AJC Derby.
Barb Joseph
The newest mentor to the Dynamic team is proving that with a bit of care and attention, she can produce excellent results for our owners. Horses that seem to have soured with the city life and are in need of a sea change , have thrived in the environment that she provides in the nations' capital. Watch out for Tiger Prawn, Vigneron, Related Secrets, Twin Trist, Royal Singer and Raquet.
Mick Price
The Melbourne press have been full of reports of late about Mick Price and his stable. Whether it has been about taking over 50 boxes to train Patinack Farm horses or the fact that his headline horses like Gallica, Light Fantastic and Alamosa are back in work, Mick has lead the charge. Over the Autumn, watch out especially when Damian Oliver gets on one of his rides. Their strike rate last Spring was sensational.
Peter Moody
Where he thinks they can win, Peter Moody will take his horses. He has Annenkov on the Perth Cup trail and the cards did not fall our way with Pillar of Hercules at the same carnival. Peter has Carlton Forward (or Sticks as he is known around the stable), aimed at the MM 2yo and in the Autumn, watch out for his good performers such as Tan Tat De Lago, Scenic Silver and a smokey, Typhoon Tracey. In training, Peter has the Dynamic horses Itchy Tiger, Reward for Effort and Skyrocket Dreamer.
David Payne
David continues to rack up winners. His excellent filly Rock Me Baby has recorded consecutive city wins and his first starter, Cortina Gal, on debut, won the Wyong 2yo Magic Millions worth $200k. Waiting in the stables from Dynamic is Well Handled, Atreyu and Paris ?n' Rio, who are all on Sydney Autumn campaigns.
DYNAMIC BREEDING NEWS
Dehere
What a sight he was at the stallion parade put on by Coolmore for the Dynamic visitors. As the Manager, Henry Field said to us, you could almost say that he is the perfect equine specimen. With Group 1 winners in the form of Golden Slipper and Newmarket winner, Belle Du Jour, Defier and Bollinger, he has proven to be a versatile sire that can produce black type 2 yo's or black type middle distance performers.
On the race track he had an amazing will to win. You can see this will to win by clicking on the below link which shows him winning the 1993 Saratoga Stakes as a 2yo. It was an amazing effort where he was stopped dead in his tracks on the fence, before hooking 5 wide and somehow caught the leader on the post to record a spine tingling victory.
This was just one highlight of his 2yo season that saw him race 6 times for 5 wins including 2 Group 1 victories and saw him named the prestigious Eclipse Juvenile winner.
Savannah Success - The Matriarch of a new racing dynasty?

Other triumphs included the Group 2 ARC Royal Stakes, Group 2 AJC Surround Stakes, Group 3 Manawatu RC Eulogy Stakes, Listed Avondale JC Classic Stakes and the Listed ARC Soliloquy Stakes.
She has certainly thrown this ability to her Redoute's Choice colt in Dynamics, Triumphant Choice. With the Group 1 AJC Champagne Stakes firmly on his radar, he is another member to watch of this very talented family.
