Dynamic purchase a BEAUTIFUL colt at Inglis Classic Sale
26/01/2010
Dynamic Syndications waited until late in the sale however it is always worth the wait when we can secure such a wonderful colt. We only purchased one yearling over the two day sale but we were simply not prepared to buy lesser types on pedigree and conformation nor where we prepared to pay "overs" to buy from this sale with so many more quality yearlings to be offered for sale in the coming months.
Dynamic Syndications purchased for $62,500, lot 496 which we rated the "best on type" at the sale. He was a magnificent individual with a very early 10 August 2008 foaling date, by proven successful sire BEAUTIFUL CROWN ex CHERRY ORCHARD (by RORY'S JESTER).
Offered by Fairview Park Stud (as agent) this was the top of our selection criteria based upon conformation and he had an excellent pedigree rating score of A++. He is the third foal of a winning mare that has already produced a winner over 1226m by the sire of stayers in Jeune, so it strongly suggests this Rory's Jester mare can introduce speed into her progeny.
Reward For Effort
This colt is also bred on the exact same cross that produced our 2009 Group 1 Blue Diamond Winner REWARD FOR EFFORT. Both are by grand-sons of the immortal Danzig that were mated over Rory's Jester mares.
Beautiful Crown
Beautiful Crown standing at a service fee of just $16,500 is one of the most prolific winner producing sires in Australia and is has been the leading sire of BOBS Bonus winners in NSW for a long period. Dynamic Syndications have enjoyed success with the breed having previously purchased the Stakes Winning Gr2 placed mare TENANT'S TIARA. To date the sire has a 84.1% Runners: Earners ratio. He has produced 509 runners : 428 earned prizemoney including 342 individual winners, 9 stakes winners and 12 stakes placed.
Tenant's Tiara
Originally it was anticipated that because he was such a good sort of an individual and had such an early date of birth that Dynamic Syndications would purchase the colt and retain him 100% and prepare him to be re-offered for sale in the 2yo Ready To Run Sales later this year where he would be a stand out individual by type and represent an attractive opportunity to the Asian market, especially as so many of this family have performed with distinction in Singapore. However we have been contacted by several of our clients already who are very keen to be involved and the vendor has also expressed an interest in buying a share back in the colt.
Knowing he is such a good sort with an early foal date by a proven sire out of a Rory's Jester mare and bred on the proven Gr1 cross that created Reward For Effort, it certainly represents smart business for Dynamic Syndications to syndicate the colt rather than sell him again in the Ready To Run Sales. If he runs as well as he looks he will create his own headlines here and that from a business perspective, is far better for us than a quick profit and seeing him depart to Asia.
He is the "Real Deal" and we are delighted to have secured him. This is the type of colt that establishes Dynamic Syndications as the leaders of our industry. Buying the right individuals that are outstanding sorts with great genetic ratings and are passed sound and right by our vet and clear on x-rays. Also being a valuer of thoroughbreds, is important as we know what the right price should be and never pay "overs".
