Congratulations to our client Dean Shannon who's DCI Syndicate races the ultra consistent Dynamic SMUGGLER'S INN (Giant's Causeway ex Bona Omina) after yet another victory at Eagle Farm on Wednesday afternoon in the Montrose Access Class 3 Handicap over 1838m.

The Dynamic Syndications purchased yearling cost $48,000 from the June 2007 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Smuggler's Inn has now raced on 14 occasions for 3 wins (1300m, 1500m, 1838m), 4 seconds, 2 thirds and 2 fourths (11 cheques from 14 runs).

Ridden by Larry Cassidy Smuggler's Inn was trapped wide early from his outside draw so Larry elected to push forward and travel just behind the speed. Approaching the turn the horse moved forward and then set sail for the winning post reeling in the leaders before having to dig deep to out stay the fast finishing favourite. In a driving heads up heads down finish it was almost impossible to separate them but in a developed print Smuggler's Inn had prevailed.

That was his seventh start this preparation for the Mick Nolen trained galloper and was certainly his most determined run. The preparation has been a good one so far resulting in 3 wins. 2 seconds, a third and a fourth.

Smuggler's Inn determined victory sets him up nicely for longer trips and we believe he has plenty more wins available to him as the trips get longer.
