Charlie is the ultimate success story - hard work making good.
Charlie is an equity holder and director of P&N Beverages; makers of premium grade soft drinks, fruit juices and natural water.
Charlie and his partners have worked long and hard to build a business from scratch, to now becoming a leading player in the highly competitive beverage market.
Charlie's greatest outlet from the stress of corporate life is Horseracing, he enjoys it immensely.
Charlie purchased his first share in a racehorse in 1982 (23 years ago) and has continually owned many horses since purchasing his first share, but unfortunately, true racetrack success had eluded him.
In the 21 years prior to Charlie being introduced to Dean Watt in 2002 , Charlie's total racetrack success consisted of just a maiden win at Goulburn in 1996 with "Zippy Lass" and a 1997 maiden win with "Honeysuckle" at Wyong.
Not the best of results for a 21 year investment.
However, that all changed in 2002 when Charlie was introduced to Dean Watt through Richard Lasek, one of Charlie's sales managers.
Charlie had become despondent about racehorse ownership and was thinking of retiring from the sport. Dean convinced Charlie to have one last try at racetrack glory. Charlie agreed and it proved the best decision he ever made in racing.
SET UP
On Dean's recommendation, the first racehorse Charlie agreed to buy a share in was "SET UP".
Charlie had an instant return when, at its first race start, SET UP won impressively at Nowra.
At its second start SET UP won at Randwick and showed he was a racehorse with a future.
SET UP also won at Rosehill and ran 3rd in the Group 1 Queensland Derby and 3rd in the ListedRough Habit Plate.
To date, SET UP has won over $120,000 with plenty more to come !
On Prizemoney return Charlie is showing a profit of 133%
Each Way betting on SET UP, at Starting Price on an even stake, shows Charlie with an excellent 156% punting profit.
BRADBURY'S LUCK
In 2004, Charlie was offered a share in a Redoute's Choice colt from Skating. At that stage unnamed and untried, and prior to the boom being on the Redoute's Choice progeny, Charlie agreed with Dean, that the stunning grey colt was something special and purchased a 10% share.
Another masterstroke !
This racehorse was BRADBURY'S LUCK winner of the 2004 Canonbury Stakes (LR) at Randwick AND the 2005 MAGIC MILLIONS !
So far BRADBURY'S LUCK has won over $630,000 and massive offers of several millions of dollars to buy the colt have been rejected.
Finally, the colt was sold for stud duties for $2.5 million

Each Way betting on BRADBURY'S LUCK, at Starting Price on an even stake, shows Charlie with a massive 225% punting profit.
Finally the onsale of his share for for stud duties resulted in a 1,000 % profit.
